Creative Non-Fiction to: gloomcupboardnonfiction@gmail.com .  Please include only Non-Fiction Submission in the subject line, and paste all submissions into the body of the email.  All attachments will be deleted.  Please include your contact information as well as your author bio, as you would like it to appear in the publication, at the end of your submission.  Works of all lengths will be considered, but we prefer less than two-thousand words.

Poetry to: gloomeditor@gmail.com .  Please send between 1 and 5 pieces of poetry pasted in the body of the email, addressed to Luis Rivas. Original, unpublished works only. Attachments will not be opened. If you must use an attachment, query first. Do not send links to blogs or public forums for your work. Poems to be considered for Gloom Cupboard must be removed from blogs and such while under consideration and for a period of one month after publication if accepted. Non-English poetry will be considered if an English translation is provided with the submission. Emails must contain “submission” “subs” “poems” or something of the like in the subject line to indicate that you are art and not spam. If you would like a short, third-person bio to appear with your work you may send one with the poetry. Simultaneous submissions are encouraged, but please follow professional protocol. Response times vary, but if you have not heard back in 60 days, please query. Also, please wait to hear from us regarding a submission before sending in more work.  All other general guidelines apply.

Flash Fiction or Short Story Fiction to:  gcfiction@gmail.com Please attach all Fiction in Word documents.  Please type in the subject line “submission fiction” along with the name of your piece and your name or initials.  This will help us keep track of your submission.  Please include a word count in your email.

Book reviews to: gloomcupboard@hotmail.com We urge you to do a request in the form of a cover letter mentioning content, genre, subgenre, etc. The editor-in-chief will assign a reviewer according to the tastes of the reviewers. Please send us a pdf, paper will do, but pdf’s can be passed along. If your book was found unsuitable for Gloom Cupboard by at least two reviewers, then I’m sorry but the review will not appear. We are flooded by requests and we have to make a choice somewhere. The advantage of a pdf is that you don’t spend much on the book or on sending costs. It doesn’t mean because we don’t like your book that it’s crap, Gloom Cupboard adheres a certain direction in writing and we stick to that. We will however not discriminate: excellent qualitative writing will not be refused based on esthetic preferences.
