Miami Dalt's closed down around the year 2000 and I happened to drive by the area. The doors were locked so I shielded my eyes from the bright sun with my hands and leaned onto the plate glass window. I looked iinside to see the "point" or corner of the popular local bar, the black and while floor tiles, the line of empty barstools that once served as props for pretty young girls and boys to strut their stuff...in my mind's eye I saw all my old friends, heard the music of ice tinkling in the glasses and voices of days gone by...it was s haunting and nostalgic moment...and reminded me that Dalt's was a perfect moment in time. Thanks Joanie, for preserving a little piece of our history.
